About Dubai Supreme
Council of Energy

The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) is the governing body in Dubai responsible for promoting the sustainable development of the Emirate’s growing economy. The DSCE is developing alternative and renewable energy sources for the Emirate, increasing energy efficiency to reduce demand, and ensuring environmental sustainability. The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy is chaired by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer serving as the Vice Chairman.

The primary role of the DSCE is to govern the energy sector in Dubai and develop an energy policy framework to achieve energy sustainability. Member organizations of the DSCE include Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP), Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE), Department of Petroleum Affairs, and Dubai Municipality (DM).
